Objectives for CPAM are:
  • Establish state wide crime prevention initiatives.
  • Adopt state wide crime prevention programs.
  • Create joint crime prevention initiatives with other agencies.
  • Improve relations with other agencies such as the Michigan Attorney General's Office, the Michigan Chiefs of Police, the National Crime Prevention Council, the National Ad Council etc., the Central Michigan Crime Prevention Association and the West Michigan Crime Prevention Association.
  • Increase and expand membership.
  • Maximize membership benefits by
    • Improved Newsletter featuring local initiatives and achievements and identifying local, state and national resources.
    • Offering regional half or one day regional conferences.
    • Look for alternative methods of funding.

Leadership

  • Offer  a day of leadership training for executive board and directors

    • Set priorities, goals and objectives.

    • Develop a calendar of events, budget and administrative chart

    • Review constitution and bylaws.

    • Establish an annual Midwest Leadership Conference for  board members from Indiana Illinois,  Kentucky and Ohio.
